The original Supreme Commander didn’t make a lot of waves. The RTS genre is mainly dominated by games like Command & Conquer, Starcraft, Dawn of War, and Warcraft — and RTS fans tend to stick to their favorite series. But Supreme Commander 2 looks like it is seriously worth the attention of both veterans and new players of the genre.

Developer Chris Taylor narrates the walkthrough, which he says is pre-pre-alpha. But even for a pre-pre-alpha, the game looks sleek. The gameplay looks extremely fast-paced and dynamic, featuring rockets, a cannon capable of shooting units across the map, long-range artillery, and the ACU — the Armored Command Unit (essentially a giant robot).

Additionally, a tech tree is featured that looks like it will make for a wide variety of gameplay builds possible.
